In the department we seek to prepare women for excellence according to Proverbs 31 v 10 - 31. The vision of the Arise Women's Ministry in Faith Chapel is to shape and raise champions to become women of excellence. Our objectives are to recognise hidden talents and to nurture and direct women's passion, leading them to fulfil the God-given purpose in the Kingdom; to promote healthy self-esteem and self-worth; to value and honour the gifts in each other.
Our regular activities include: monthly meetings to develop spiritual, emotional, mental and physical well-being ; discussion forums and workshops to enhance women's roles in the church, home, in their careers and in the community; mentoring; monthly prayer partnerships (Praying for a chosen sister for a month); visiting the sick and shut in at home and in hospital; transportation of long-term sick or house bound saints to church; providing monthly accountability reports of individual outreach and witnessing; baby showers; prayer breakfasts; women's pampering days; fund raising activities such as fairs and community based coffee mornings.
Over the past five years we have been able to co-ordinate a school holiday club, organise a lunch time club, provide a food bank for our local community and our assembly, produce a women's magazine.
Every July the women are invited to our annual Women's Conference where we invite motivational speakers and prominent women to encourage positive self-esteem. Our annual Women's retreat in the month of August has developed over 17 years to meet the needs of the body, soul and spirit with guest motivational speakers.
Having our own activities different from the Men's Ministry does not separate us but enhances us in our full support of the Men. We have a joint end of year thanksgiving in glory to God.
As a member of Faith Chapel Ministries you are more than welcome to participate in your interested Departments. To find out more about Faith Chapel Ministries, send us your inquiry and we'll respond shortly.
